Christine, my awesome (soon to be) sister-in-law. I know you’re still a month away from “officially” joining the family, but it’s hard to remember a time when you weren’t a part of our family.
I think you already know this, but let me just reiterate that we really love you. I mean, like, great big bear hugs love you. Like, we can be ourselves in front of you and you still love us. In essence, family.
I remember when you and Cory purchased my mom and George plane tickets for Christmas, so they could come to Seattle to visit me. I remember that she cried like a baby and that it might go down as the best Christmas present of all time.
I remember when you and Cory came to Seattle together for the first time. Wine and cheese night was awesome!
And the last time you came to Seattle and we watched all seven Harry Potter movies in two days. *whew* That was a serious marathon, but I think we’re all the better for it.
I’m thankful that you bring fun and creativity to our family. I’m thankful that you like my (sometimes ridiculous) homemade presents. I’m thankful that you keep Cory in line (he needs it). I’m thankful for you being such an amazing hostess when we’re in town.
In short, I’m thankful for you.
